SABF Senior Trials No 2 2026

Face to face trials at a venue where highest number of the entrants reside.

All matches will be played with screens.

Dates: Entered pairs must be available from 19 - 24 July. The start and finish dates are dependent on the entries received.

Eligibility: South African citizens or permanent residents.

Age: Turning 65 or more in 2026.

Format: Pairs trials with cross imping if the entry permits.

Format is entry dependent.

                             a. If fewer than 3 pairs enter, no team will be sent

                             b. If 3 pairs enter, the SABF reserves the right to decide on whether that team will be sent or not

                             c. If 4-7 pairs enter, pairs will be asked to form 2-3 teams with a minimum of 2 pairs in each team. Teams thus formed may result in a pair being excluded from the trials. If 3 teams are formed there will be a 3 way match to exclude 1 team and the remaining 2 teams will play a knockout match.  

                             d. If 8 or more pairs enter, there will be an imp pairs trials with cross-imping.
